247ze is an Oakland-based artist and visionary who pushes the boundaries of rap and R&B. I collaborated with him to create the album covers for UGLY TRUTH and Evil Heart, translating the darker themes of his life and music into visuals. By using moody strobe lighting and dramatic tones, I brought his emotional world to the forefront and amplified the raw intensity of his sound.
UGLY TRUTH was released on September 6th, 2024. The photos were captured at Mount Davidson in San Francisco, and the final album cover was created entirely in-camera using two strobes.
Evil Heart was released on November 15th, 2024. The photos were captured on the Westside of Santa Cruz. The photos were taken at night with strobes reflecting Ze’s vision of dark tones and a gritty, trailer-trash aesthetic.
